Tonight we talked about the war that we are all born into, and how we must choose a side to fight on. It’s either for God or against God (James 4:4). But God doesn’t leave us hanging, he gives us full body armor and weapons to fight against the Devil (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Our competition for the night was “Trip or Treat”, which is a variation of jump rope that saw many people falling on their behind.
Our challenge for this week is to pray and put on the “armor of God” that is mentioned in Ephesians 6:13-18, so that we’ll be ready for the fight against evil. Then live out those things that the armor represents.
And remember, some day Jesus is going to come back and he’s going to fight that final war and WIN! So be on the winning side, and choose to fight with him daily.

Tonight we talked about fighting and had some of the most lively conversation we’ve ever had in REPO. We confronted some of culture’s ideals that tell us to fight back and stand up for our reputation. We confronted it with Biblical truth. Either we can be tough and fight other people like everyone else, or we can be tough and stand to live the life that Jesus commands.
A
great night where 2 people committed their life to Jesus, and many others committed to REALLY live out what Jesus commanded – to overcome evil with good!
See you next week! TJ

We talked tonight about our words, and the things we say. The way we talk can affect our whole selves (James 3:2). We dealt with three things that we may struggle with: know-it-alls, sarcasm, and gossip.
Speed telephone was the competition of the night. We passed on the “message” and had to act it out.
We ended the night by talking about Isaiah 6 and how Isaiah asked God to clean his unclean lips. Then we took Listerine Strips and put them in our mouth. It reminds us that God needs to burn off and forgive those things in us so that we can have fresh breath.
We love you and look forward to seeing you in REPO!

Proverbs 5 talks about keeping your distance from things that will cause you to sin. It also tell us to keep going in the right direction with purpose. And to most of all be devoted to Jesus.
We had an awesome variation of musical chairs that included dodgeballs and mosh pits.
There are students who have been starting lunch time Bible studies in their schools. Others have been telling their friends about Jesus. And still others have been taking 30 seconds to kneel down at their locker and pray for their school and friends.
Keep bringing your friends and being a part of REPO.

Tonight we started a new series called, “Locker”. The name of the message was, “The Master Lock” and we focused on Proverbs 4:23 where it says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the direction of your life”. We talked about how Jesus needs to be the Master of our life, to guard it. We gotta lock up our past, live in the present and look into the future.
We ended the night by talking about Proverbs 3:5,6 where it says to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart”. The word “trust” means “to lie helpless”. We illustrated this by having one person in each of the small groups try to be picked up by the rest of the group while they fought to not be picked up. It was funny watching people do that – but it’s crazy when you think about the fact that we’re like that sometimes. We try and squirm into our own way when God wants us to just lie helpless.
We love you and encourage you to check out REPO and bring friends to be a part of it. It will be a night you won’t soon forget, and one you’ll be able to apply to your life the next day at school and home.

We must be dangerously obsessed with Jesus. In Daniel 6, we see him dangerously obsessed with his relationship with God. Daniel showed he was dangerously obsessed with Jesus when:
1) No one is watching (Character) – he lived a life to please God more than anyone else.
2) Everyone is watching (Consistency) – they knew where to find him when it came to his daily prayer time.
3) God is watching (Cling) – sometimes we can only cling to him, when others come against us.
We had a great night as the school year started this week! You’re encouraged to bring your friends this next week as we start a new series where your friends will have the opportunity to accept Jesus, and everyone who comes will get a small gift.
We love you and hope you have a great week! Be dangerously obsessed with Jesus, so others can see him in you at school and in your neighborhood.

Tonight, we talked about a crazy teenager named Daniel again. We learned from Daniel 2 that God wants us to be dependent on Him, when the world is disturbed, demanding, and deceived.
We talked in our small groups about what supernatural powers people believe in, and how King Nebuchadnezzar trusted every other supernatural power, until God broke through and spoke to him.
Then we demonstrated dependence in doing the “Human Knot” where everybody untied themselves.
We ended the night listening to the voice of God – and telling him we need to be dependent on Him this next school year.

REPO was exciting tonight, as we had 31 people there! There were 4 new visitors (if you’re thinking of coming sometime, you should! We’d love to have you).
We started a new series tonight called “Living in 3-D: Lessons from Daniel”. Over the next three weeks, we are going to give 3 “D” words that God wants us to be in the new school year.
Tonight we talked about how God wants us to be DIFFERENT. It was an exciting night. In our discussions we talked about what God calls us compared to others. And we set really practical goals for how we can be better students this coming school year.

Tonight was a great end for the REPOlympics. We had intense competition, bringing back Dodge-Javelin and Powerball. We talked about Jesus’ Closing Ceremony here on Earth in Acts 1.
We had our biggest night with 40 people, 34 students, 5 people giving their life to Christ, and 6 visitors. What an exciting night!
As we head toward the Fall, we’re all on the same team and we’re going to reach Hamtramck, our schools, our neighborhoods and families with the power of God.
It’s gonna be exciting – so let’s keep the momentum going.
We love you and so glad you’re a part of REPO – see you next week!

REPO was packed tonight – we had 32 people in the house, 6 visitors, and 1 person
accepted Christ! We talked about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego and how
they obeyed God and were thrown into a fiery furnace. But God saved their life and
actually walked with them in the fire.
We need to obey God no matter what! We need to know His Word and let it burn on the inside of us, so that we can go through fiery times in our life.
Our competition tonight was a relay race that got everyone in the team involved and ended with a leapfrog to the finish line.
The REPOlympics wrap up next week, with big points being given away. So, bring tons of friends. Bring your Bible and journal, and be here for the Closing Ceremonies of the REPOlympics.
